Tula Hats have become a wonderful addition to our store.
We get many comments on their unique look and feel.
Each hat is handmade in a small village in central Mexico. Palm hats have been hand-woven since the mid 1500's. The palm is grown along the coast and harvested twice a year. After the palm is processed and bundled, it is sent to market where the weavers purchase it. When the palm arrives at the village, it is braided by the women. Then the men sew the braided palm into the basic hat body. It is then shaped and adorned. The stampede strap (or chin strap) is the finishing touch.
Whether you are gardening, ranching,
sitting on the beach or simply enjoying the outdoors, Tula hand-woven palm hats are the perfect choice.
